Robert J. Cohen, D.D.S.

Dr. Robert J. Cohen has been practicing dentistry in South Florida for more than 40 years. He combines a caring bedside manner with a passion for his profession. In his more than four decades in dentistry – through countless technological advancements – Dr. Cohen has maintained a steadfast commitment to his patients.

Dr. Cohen completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida and University of Miami. He then attended the University of Detroit Dental School where he received the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. Licensed by the Michigan State Board of Dentistry – he launched his career in Detroit before moving back to South Florida. He was certified by the American Dental Association’s National Board of Dental Examiners and maintains a license in good standing with the Florida Board of Dentistry to this day.

His professional training includes the completion of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry ‘Maxi-Course.’ He holds a Level 1 certification of completion from the L.D. Pankey Institute for advanced dental education. Dr. Cohen has continued his education at the Broward Dental Research Clinic and at the University of Toronto – where he attended a course in ‘Osseointegration in Clinical Dentistry.’ Dr. Cohen continues his education to this day in order to provide the latest and best treatment options for his patients.

Dr. Cohen is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and North Dade/Miami Beach Dental Society. His focus is on cosmetic and implant dentistry – including full-mouth crown and bridge reconstruction and restoration of dental implants with all ceramic crowns.

Dr. Cohen is thrilled to make South Florida his home – practicing – and living – in our community.

Dr. Robert Kaufman – PERIODONTIST

Kaufman grew up in the South Florida area where he began his educational journey to pioneer his family’s first entry into the dental profession. He attended Emory University for his undergraduate studies where he received an academic scholarship and was invited to join the prestigious honor society, Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Kaufman graduated college a Magna Cum Laude, and then entered the University of Florida College of Dentistry. After a successful and educational four years there, he graduated first in his class and was awarded entry into the national Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.

Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Kaufman moved to Miami and completed a two-year hospital based dental residency program at the prestigious Jackson Memorial Hospital. This included a year of General Practice Residency and a year of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship. Following this brief stay in Miami, he returned to the University of Florida College of Dentistry and Shands Teaching Hospital, where he completed his Periodontal Surgical Residency.

After completing residency training, he and his family returned to South Florida where he entered private practice. As a former president of the South Dade Dental Society and guest lecturer at the celebrated Pankey Institute for Advanced Continuing Dental Education, Dr. Kaufman concentrates his efforts and continuing education pursuits in the areas of periodontal surgery and the surgical placement of dental implants. Throughout his professional career, he has placed thousands of dental implants and in collaboration with various highly skilled restorative dentists, has helped many patients overcome their dental disabilities. He has recently completed a course of study with the esteemed Dr. Paulo Malo, the inventor of the “All-On-4” and “Teeth in A Day” implant technique. His advanced certifications in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and Intravenous Conscious Sedation, allow him to safely deliver surgical excellence to his patients while “asleep” in a safe, effective, and professional manner.

Dr. Kaufman has lectured throughout the United States and maintains membership in good standing in various professional organizations. He has dedicated his professional life to assisting his patients achieve better overall health through the betterment of their dental health. The delivery of dental excellence with compassion and caring is his goal and patient appreciation and satisfaction are the benchmarks by which he measures his success.
